Beads of Prayer (Canceled)
February 22, 2024 at 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm EST
This event has been canceled
Using beads for prayer is a practice used worldwide for centuries. Take the opportunity to learn about the history and use of prayer beads with the Sisters of Providence during the upcoming workshop “Beads of Prayer,” scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 22, in the Foley Room at Providence Spirituality & Conference Center.

“The usage of prayer beads predates Christianity,” Sister Paula Damiano, SP, said. “Some of the earliest evidence of using prayer beads is in Hinduism. Prayer beads allow the pray-er a way to count the number of prescribed prayers without having to count.”
Cost to attend the workshop is $20, which includes all materials and snacks.
