Baking Sourdough Bread

Join Candace Minster as she demystifies the sourdough bread making process. She will demonstrate basics (like why you don’t need commercial yeast) and tips and tricks for creating and maintaining starters. We’re delighted to offer our popular sourdough class both in-person and virtually!

Cost: $45
The class fee includes materials and a sourdough starter. Participants who are not attending in person or unable to pick up their starter in advance from our Farm Store, can have it shipped to them for a fee.

Candace Minster

Candace Minster serves as garden and fiber projects coordinator for White Violet Center for Eco-Justice. Her focus is on expanding the flower operation and working with fiber from our alpacas. She has been a member of the White Violet Center team for over 15 years. Her areas of expertise include organic gardening, growing flowers, worm composting, food preservation (canning, fermentation, pickling),  fiber arts (knitting, spinning and weaving) and fiber processing.
