As our nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) has issued a “Declaration of Commitment,” highlighting values that continue to shape the mission, lives and ministries of women religious today.

The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, are part of the LCWR and have signed the Declaration of Commitment, which the LCWR will deliver to Capitol Hill on Thursday, June 25.

As part of this commitment, all LCWR affiliated congregations have been invited to take part in a one-hour prayer for unity, commitment to LCWR values and shared witness.

The Sisters of Providence are inviting the Providence Community to take part in prayer with them on Thursday, June 25, from 1-2 p.m. (The prayer is also available for anyone who cannot pray at this time but would like to participate.)
