The passage describing Jesus' transfiguration and my own rephrasing of it are not metaphors

To what can I liken the kindom of God in the here and now?

When my patience is running low, I will remember the parable and say a quick prayer in thanksgiving ...

Let us pray for the gift of understanding to see where God's word speaks to us ...

Can we lighten someone's burden with an act of kindness or by praying for them this week?
Let's think this week about the small things we can do in Jesus' name

'Perhaps this week we can learn to take those sacred pauses that allow us to listen to the whispers of God in our hearts, as well as to the voices of today's prophets in our world.'

'Consider how we might be compassionate people in today's world.'

'As one body in the shared gift of Eucharist, how will we love and minister to the needs of our world?'

'How can I live in the week ahead with a more giving, loving spirit?'

'This week, how can I spread the word of God and the knowledge of God's unending love to those whom I meet?'

'This is our mission too. We must teach the love of God to all.'
