Sister Editha Ben
All her life, Sister Editha Ben has been a risk taker, working to break boundaries in her own life and in society. From running away to join the convent, to being blacklisted by the Filipino government for teaching social justice, to transferring to the Sisters of Providence after more than 30 years in her former congregation, Sister Editha has proven herself willing to follow the Spirit’s lead even in the face of opposition.

Saint Mother Theodore Guerin: bearing the light still today
Saint Mother Theodore’s story is still very relevant today. She was an immigrant. She came to a foreign land where she didn’t know the language and where there was a lot of prejudice and bias toward Catholics and toward women. There are just so many parallels to what she faced and what she endured that are still around today. She’s a great model and mentor.

Amy Miranda is a Providence Associate of the Sisters of Providence and a staff member in their Mission Advancement office. Amy is a 1998 graduate of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. After serving in marketing and communication for the Sisters of Providence for nearly 25 years, Amy now serves as the Congregation's annual giving manager.
