White Violet Farm Flowers

“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.”

Luther Burbank

What makes our flowers different?

Our flower field is small, but mighty! We grow all the midwestern summer favorites like zinnias, sunflowers and cosmos, as well as specialty flowers like dahlias, ranunculus, anemones and many others. We focus on interesting colors and textures that you won’t find anywhere else, all managed using organic growing methods. We specialize in mixed bouquets and small custom arrangements and sell wholesale to local florists and groceries.

Where can you find our blooms?

Meet the flower farmer

You might recognize our CFO (chief flower officer) Candace Minster. Candace has been with White Violet Center for over 18 years. She has served in a variety of roles, most recently managing the entire garden operation. In 2020 Candace stepped down so she could focus more on our newly expanded flower farm. If you can’t tell by her big smile, she loves it!

A tradition of growing

Established in 1840

The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods have been using the land to grow food, herbs, plants and flowers since they arrived here in 1840.
