Hunger Bust Fun Run/Walk scheduled for September 6

Providence Food Pantry invites the public to participate in the upcoming “Hunger Bust Fun Run/Walk” to take place at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 6, on the grounds of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Providence Food Pantry, a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Providence.

Since its inception on Sept. 8, 1994, the pantry has provided more than 14 million meals and has served more than 374,000 individuals in the Wabash Valley.

Registration for the race will begin at 9 a.m., and conclude at 9:45 a.m., with the race beginning at 10 a.m., rain or shine.

Cost to take part in the race is $20, with one T-shirt guaranteed to each pre-registered participant. Early registration must be received by Aug. 24. All T-shirts will be handed out during the event.

There are also sponsorships available for those businesses and individuals interested. Cost is $150 per business and $50 for individual sponsorships. Sponsorships need to be received by August 24.

Make checks for pre-registration payable to Providence Food Pantry/Hunger Bust, and mail to Providence Food Pantry, 701 W. National Ave., West Terre Haute, IN, 47885. Registrations will also be accepted the morning of Hunger Bust. There will be a few T-shirts available that day on a first come first served basis.
