Sisters to host ‘Open – Discover – Blossom: A Retreat for Women’

Women of all ages searching for a time and place to slow down, reflect, listen and enjoy the spring are invited to join the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, for the upcoming “Open – Discover – Blossom: A Retreat for Women.”

The retreat will begin at 7 p.m., on Friday, April 5, and conclude at 1 p.m., on Sunday, April 7. It will take place at various locations throughout Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

Join facilitator Sister Mary Montgomery, SP, who will lead those in attendance in reflection using scripture, poetry and music. Time will be provided to reflect alone and with others.

“I think of retreat as an opportunity for renewal and refreshment for life in general, and for me, it always includes the spiritual,” Sister Mary said. “Yes, one is taking time for themselves so it could be considered a breather.

“This retreat will offer renewal and refreshment for body, mind and spirit on the beautiful campus of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. I hope to create a welcoming, comfortable and reflective environment for all those who attend.”

Cost to attend is $300 with a commuter option for $225. Meals and snacks will be provided.

Those attending in person will stay at the Woodhaven Retreat and Guest House, where there is a limit of nine guests.
