We are so blessed!
“We are so blessed.” This was a common feeling over the past two months as we received your gifts in reply to our requests for support and in response to our annual Christmas cards. I shared with many sisters the amazing outpouring of support we were receiving. The Sisters of Providence truly rely on your donations to keep the mission strong.
The sisters loved receiving personal notes and greetings that came with your gifts. Sisters were also very ready and eager to lift up the many prayer intentions you also shared. Prayer is so important to the Congregation and I can share that every prayer request was lifted up by a sister.
Your continued support does so much for the congregation. You help sisters meet the social service, health and other needs of families. You are helping sisters work with women who are interested in becoming Sisters of Providence. You are helping sisters inspire people to grow spiritually. You are also supporting the Sisters of Providence retirement fund which helps our volunteer sisters work in their many capacities including health care, clerical roles and our ministry of prayer.
As I signed your thank you letters, I, too, was overwhelmed by the generosity of so many people. I frequently recalled the words of Mother Theodore. “It seems that God wishes to render his gifts still dearer to us by causing them to pass through your hands before reaching us.” Your giving makes you a vital part of our mission.
As a donor, you continue the legacy of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin. You ensure the mission of the Sisters of Providence continue to stay strong into the future. As the director of development, I want to personally invite you to the Woods to enjoy all there is to offer. I also invite you to learn more about how your giving makes a difference. I can also share with you other ways you can support the Sisters of Providence.
Please feel free to call me directly at 812-535-2801. I would love to thank you personally and share the great things you make possible.
God Bless!
