SPs are merry presents at Light Your Way Christmas Parade

The Christmas season is a time to be merry and bright and the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods are enthusiastic supporters of this tradition.

Saturday night, the Sisters of Providence participated in the 2nd annual Light Your Way Christmas Parade in downtown Terre Haute, as one of more than 75 entries.

Sisters and staff decorated the SP bus with packages, lights, stockings, bells and more. Many sisters wore red and green outfits which you could see when the bus was lit from within. Sisters and staff also wore gift bags and wrapped boxes, walking before and after the bus during the parade, carrying colorful Christmas Fun at the Woods banners (a festive SP-sponsored event on Dec. 9).

Enjoy this photo album and if you haven’t already, plan to attend Christmas Fun at the Woods on Dec. 9, from 1-4 p.m. (EST) at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. You’ll spend time with sisters, friends, families and even a few soft and cuddly alpaca. There will also be a bake sale in Providence Spirituality & Conference Center where you can purchase tasty treats for the holidays. Linden Leaf Gifts will be open to help you with those hard-to-shop-for family members.

Admission to the event is $5 per person, with children 3 and under free.
