You’re invited to attend the GRAND OPENING!
On Oct. 25, 2014 the Sisters of Providence are inviting all those who love Saint Mother Theodore to the grand opening of the ALL NEW shrine! Tours and refreshments will be offered from 1-4 p.m. At 4 p.m. a prayer service will be held outdoors near the Log Cabin Chapel.
About the new Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin
The new shrine has been designed to represent Mother Theodore’s journey from France to the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind. This includes a french room, which reflects on her time spent in France, and a ship room, which tells the story of her arduous voyage across the Atlantic Ocean in the 1800s.
Continuing through, you will find an exhibit area filled with Mother Theodore’s stories about her life on U.S. soil and at her Woods. This will even include her original writing desk and other artifacts. Tucked behind her amazing life story, is a chapel, which will serve as the final resting place for Saint Mother Theodore Guerin as well as a quiet place for prayer and reflection.
Visiting the Shrine
The new shrine will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily for visitors. Docents are currently available each Sunday (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) to welcome visitors and pilgrims and to give any information requested about the life and deeds of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin. Additional tours and pilgrimages are also available. To schedule, contact Rita O’Donohue at firstname.lastname@example.org or cal 812-535-2945.

The Office of the Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin welcomes requests for prayer through the intercession of St. Mother Theodore. Sister Jan Craven, coordinator of the Shrine, learns daily of significant blessings in people’s lives attributed to our saint’s intercession with our Provident God.
