Connection with spirituality and the need for prayer can be passionately personal, or it can be celebrated and shared in large groups. The Sisters of Providence depend upon and thrive with both. Many sisters cherish the gift of personal quiet time to reflect, read, pray or to just be present in the moment. They also enjoy being together in small groups, local communities or large gatherings to share prayerful moments, celebrate Eucharistic Liturgy and devote themselves to their mission: to further God’s loving plans by devoting themselves to works of love, mercy and justice in service among God’s people.
Individually and collectively, spirituality and prayer likely have different definitions for different individuals. But, with all of the places available, and all of the methods offered, it seems to come together at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Invite your family and friends to share some of the Sisters of Providence resources, reflections and stories about spirituality and prayer, and may you find your own definition of how it all graces your life.
