We’d love to get to know you. Check out these opportunities!
Come and See weekend retreats
You can get a first-hand look at life as a Sister of Providence at our twice-yearly Come and See weekend retreats. Spend time in prayer, meet the newest members of the Congregation and ask any questions you have. Single, Catholic women ages 18-42 are invited to attend. We’d love to see you at an upcoming Come and See weekend, Oct. 26-28, 2018 and April 12-14, 2019. Mark your calendar now, registration will be opening soon!
Taste of the Woods
Can’t make the weekend retreat or don’t want to wait that long? No problem! Schedule a “Taste of the Woods” overnight experience. Women ages 18-42 are invited to attend a one-night get-to-know-us stay at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. Your stay might include a tour of the motherhouse grounds, a chance to get to know our foundress Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, a visit to White Violet Center for Eco-Justice (and our herd of alpacas!) or prayer time in the beautiful Blessed Sacrament Chapel. Bring a friend or even a small group. Room and meals can be provided. To arrange your taste of the Woods, contact Sister Editha Ben at 812-230-4771 or email@example.com.
Slow down. Listen. Connect. Get in touch with your deeper self as an intern at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana. Live and work among the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods for 3, 6 or 12 months as an intern at White Violet Center, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence. Spend time in our organic gardens, with our herd of alpacas or specializing in fiber arts. If you wish, you can make discerning a call to religious life one of your internship goals. Get a closer look at the life and mission of the Sisters of Providence from whatever place you feel comfortable. Get details about internships at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice here.
