Biography
Sister Wendy was born on Dec. 11, 1950. She died on June 6, 2009. She was 58 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 33 years.
Sister Wendy entered the Congregation on Aug. 23, 1975. She professed first vows on Aug. 15, 1978, and final vows on Aug. 19, 1984.
Her first ministry was that of a physical education and religion teacher at Corpus Christi, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She also ministered at St. Angela, Chicago, for two years. She also taught physical education at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College honored the memory of Sister Wendy by dedicating the entrance to the Jeanne Knoerle Sports and Recreation Center after her.
