Biography
Sister Rosalie Marie was born Rose Henrietta Weller on Sept. 7, 1911. She died on Feb. 4, 2015. She was 103 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 80 years.
Sister Rosalie Marie entered the Congregation on July 15, 1934. She was professed on Jan. 23, 1942.
Her initial ministry was that of a cook in various convents for 38 years. She also served in parish ministry in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Indianapolis, from 1975 to 2001. She returned to the Motherhouse in 2001, but stayed active until 2011, when she began a ministry of prayer.
In 1992, she entered a newspaper contest for recipes. She submitted a recipe for date pudding and won first prize.
