Biography
Sister Maureen, formerly Sister John Maureen, is a native of Chicago. Currently, she ministers in convent service and child care in Northlake, Illinois.
Sister Maureen entered the Congregation in 1960, professing first vows in 1963 and final vows in 1968.
She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in history and has a master’s degree in education administration from Ball State University.
Of her ministries, Sister Maureen taught at Our Lady of Providence, St. Louis, Missouri, from 1969-1975 and was the school’s principal from 1975-1980. She also taught at St. Angela in Chicago from 1980-1983 before becoming principal at St. Francis Borgia in Chicago from 1983-1992. She was also the principal at Divine Savior School in Norridge, Illinois, from 1992-2005.
