Biography

Sister Mary Jeanine is a native of Chicago. Currently, she ministers as a volunteer in sewing and quilting for charities in the Chicago area.

Sister Mary Jeanine entered the Congregation on September 18, 1961. She professed first vows on August 15, 1964, and final vows in May 1970.

She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She also has a master’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Illinois.

Of her ministries, Sister Mary Jeanine has taught primary grades in Indianapolis at Saint Andrews. She also ministered as a teacher in Chicago at St. Agnes, St. Francis Borgia and Maternity BVM. Sister Mary Jeanine also ministered at the America Medical Association in Chicago for 24 years.

Sister Mary Jeanine said she has a twin brother.

“I have a great brother twin,” she said.
