Biography

Sister Margaret, formerly Sister Jude Ann, was a native of Hammond, Ind. Her final ministry was in prayer at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

Sister Margaret entered the Congregation in 1961, professing first vows in 1964 and final vows in 1969.

She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, while earning a master’s degree in communication arts from the University of Notre Dame. She also a master’s of professional studies in pastoral studies from Loyola University in Chicago.

Of her ministries, Sister Margaret taught at Our Lady of Providence High School in Clarksville, Ind., from 1969-1978, and also served as a pastoral minister at Catholic Indiana Mission, Fort Yates, N.D., from 1978-1986.

From 1994-2001, Sister Margaret ministered as the chaplain at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky., and was also the chaplain at Advocate Christ Hospital and Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill., from 2001-2013.

She returned to the Woods in 2014.
