Biography

Sister Loretta was a native of Chicago. She devoted her time to tending to the marginalized members of society. Her final ministry was in prayer at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

Sister Loretta, formerly Sister Loretta Joseph, taught English as a Second Language to Spanish speaking adult students.

She enjoyed scriptural rumination, folk music and foreign languages.

Sister Loretta earned a bachelor’s degree in Latin from Loyola University.
