Biography
Sister Laura Ann was born on Nov. 2, 1940. She died on Dec. 26, 2014. She was 74 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 53 years.
Sister Laura Ann entered the Congregation on Sept. 18, 1961. She professed first and final vows on Aug. 15, 1964 and 1969, respectively.
Her teaching ministry began at St. Ann’s, Washington, D.C. She taught for many years, including time spent in North Carolina, Peru, New Hampshire and Illinois. She also ministered in the counseling department and as Dean of Students at Cathedral High School, Indianapolis, before moving on to the Emmaus House in New Jersey for 26 years.
Sister Laura Ann was known to be compassionate, patient, generous, prayerful and quite funny.
