Biography

Sister Kathryn, formerly Sister Loretta Michael, was born Kathryn Loretta McNulty on May 26, 1933. She died on Feb. 13, 2010. She was 77 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 55 years.

Sister Kathryn entered the Congregation n July 22, 1955. She professed first and final vows on Jan. 23, 1958 and 1963, respectively.

Sister Kathryn began her teaching ministry in 1959 at St. Benedict, Terre Haute, Ind. She also taught at many schools in Illinois. In 1996, she was given funds to develop an educational program at Providence Family Services in Chicago.

She was known for her sense of humor, and her clever, dry wit.
