Biography
Sister Judith was born Irma Regina Mangin on Feb. 16, 1926. She died on Feb. 10, 2008. She was 81 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 63 years.
Sister Judith entered the Congregation on July 21, 1944. She professed first and final vows on Jan. 23, 1947 and 1952, respectively.
She began her teaching ministry in 1947 at Holy Trinity, New Albany, Ind. She taught at other schools in Indiana, as well as schools in Illinois, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. After two decades of teaching, Sister Judith ministered as a cook at the Cathedral rectory in Indianapolis. She also ministered in adult education in Indianapolis before returning to the Woods in 1996 to volunteer in many different capacities.
