Biography
Sister Joan ass a native of Walsenburg, Colorado. Her final ministry was in prayer at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Sister Joan, formerly Sister Joan Patrice, entered the Congregation on July 22, 1956. She professed final vows on August 15, 1964.
She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She also has a master’s degree in administration from the University of Notre Dame and another master’s degree in counseling psychology from Santa Clara University.
She has ministered in education, administration and counseling in Indiana, Illinois and California.

Sisters of Providence 60-year Jubilarians Sister Ann Casper, Sister Josephine Paolinelli, Sister Irma Meuse, Sister Mary Ann Fox, Sister Ellen Kehoe, Sister Mary Louise O’Connor, Sister Mary Frances Keusal, Sister Catherine Buster, Sister Maureen Abbott, Sister Joanne Golding and Sister Joan Kirkpatrick were honored on Dec. 8, during the annual Senior Jubilee Celebration. They were joined by the General Council, including Sister Dawn Tomaszewski, Sister Lisa Stallings, Sister Mary Beth Klingel, Sister Jeanne Hagelskamp and Sister Jenny Howard. Not pictured: 60-year Jubilarians Sister Agnes Clare Buckley and Sister Mary Adrian Jaroch.
