She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She also has a master’s degree in education from Rivier University in New Hampshire.

Sister Eugene Francis ministered as a teacher in Indiana, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
