Sister Edwardine McNulty

Sister Edwardine was born Veronica Eileen McNulty on March 1, 1918. She died on Jan. 18, 2015. She was 96 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 78 years.

Sister Edwardine entered the Congregation on July 16, 1936. She professed first and final vows on Jan. 23, 1939 and 1945, respectively.

Sister Edwardine ministered at schools in Illinois, Indiana and Washington, D.C. She was also an elementary school principal for her many years in education. For 11 years, Sister Edwardine ministered in Congregational leadership.

One sister described Sister Edwardine as “one of the most positive persons I’ve ever met.”
