Biography
Sister Conrad was born Gertrude Louise Monrad on Aug. 22, 1920. She died on June 28, 2013. She was 92 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 72 years.
Sister Conrad entered the Congregation in 1938. She professed first vows I 1941 and final vows in 1947.
Her teaching ministry began in 1941. She taught at schools in Indiana. Sister Conrad also served on the faculty at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College for 27 years, instructing mathematics. She also ministered in the external degree program for several years. She retired as a full-time faculty member in 1999 and lived in Florida until 2006 before returning home to the Woods.
Sister Conrad was known to be very quiet in nature.
