Sister Claire Hanson is a native of Chelsea, Massachusetts. Currently, she serves as the Minister of Care, Congregational Department ministries and outreach at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Sister Claire, formerly Sister Brigid Eileen, entered the Congregation on September 12, 1965. She professed final vows on September 30, 1973.
She graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She also has a master’s degree in elementary early childhood education from Lesley University in Massachusetts.
Sister Claire has ministered in Washington, D.C., New Hampshire, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts and Illinois.
