Sister Caroline Hatch

Sister Caroline was born Caroline Frances on Feb. 9, 1926. She died on Jan. 9, 2017. She was 90 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 70 years.

Sister Caroline entered the Congregation on July 22, 1946. She professed first and final vows on July 22, 1949 and 1954, respectively.

Sister Caroline ministered as a first-grade teacher for 60 years in schools in Chicago, New Hampshire, and for 47 years in Massachusetts, including 41 at St. Rose School, in Chelsea. She returned to the Motherhouse in 2016.

She was known as a “bundle of energy.”
