Biography
Sister Angela Louise was born Elizabeth Catherine Schwartz on Jan. 12, 1928. She died on March 1, 2006. She was 78 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 59 years.
Sister Angela Louise entered the Congregation on July 21, 1946. She professed first and final vows on Jan. 23, 1949 and 1954, respectively.
Her teaching ministry began in 949 at St. Ann, Washington, D.C. Sister Angela Louise also taught at schools in Maryland, Illinois and Indiana. In 1989, she returned to the Woods to minister as the director of health care activities. She also ministered in the sisters’ activities department.
One who enjoyed parties, Sister Angela Louise also was known to have an infectious laugh.
