Christmas Prayer

Come, adore the wonder

wrought by Love today!

Lo! He seeks for shelter.

He Who is the Way.

The tiny Torch of Wisdom

is kindled in a stall;

a lowly manger hides Him

Who is the Lord of all.

Starlight weaves a glory

o’er a stable floor,

where little ones, and learned

bowing down, adore.

Here, ‘mid straw and starshine

in Him our dreams unite;

O, may His holy Coming

make all your New Year bright!
