We pray for wellness, but we accept the reality of illness. In so doing, we come to a deeper understanding of suffering in our lives and a greater sensitivity to each other.
Lord, being sick isn’t easy. I’m scared and I worry about burdening my family. I pray to return to good health and ask for the strength to bear this burden. Help me to remember that your sacrifice on the cross was a lesson for us all, and that all things pass and, in time, bring us closer to you.
