The Sisters of Providence have planned their Christmas services for Monday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday, Dec. 25. The Christmas Vigil and Christmas Day Liturgy will both be in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. Both are open to people of all faith traditions.
The Christmas Vigil will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 24. Sisters of Providence and the wider community will gather for a reflective prayer service that includes scripture readings, prayer, instrumental carols, singing of carols and candle lighting. Eucharistic Liturgy will be at 11:30 a.m. that day.
Christmas Day will be celebrated with Eucharistic Liturgy at 11 a.m. on December 25. A prelude of instrumental carols and singing will begin at 10:45 a.m.
On Sunday, Dec. 30, the Congregation will celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family with Eucharistic Liturgy at 11 a.m. On New Year’s Day, the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, Eucharist Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. Both gatherings are open to people of all faith traditions.
The Eucharistic Liturgy for the Epiphany of the Lord will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6.
