White Violet Center for Eco-Justice will host a Basic Herbal Preparations workshop from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (EDT) Saturday, Oct. 13, at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn the basic techniques used to create various herbal preparations, including teas (both decoctions and infusions), salves, creams, tinctures, and poultices. The focus of this class will be on preparation methods, and not on basic herbal methods or specific uses of herbs, although there will be limited discussion of these topics. The class will be taught from the Traditional Western Herbalism background, but all holistic/herbal traditions (i.e., Traditional Chinese, Ayurvedic, etc.) are welcome.
Instructor for the workshop is Robyn Morton. Cost is $25, including class materials and a snack. Registration deadline is Oct. 6. For more information, contact Robyn Morton at 812-535-2932 or email@example.com.
