The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods are inviting the Providence Community and others to take part in this virtual prayer service with them.

The virtual Zoom service will take place at 7 p.m., EDT, on Thursday, August 6..

This is the third year the service has taken place. This year’s theme is “From Remembrance to Abolition,” which will call prayer participants to prayerfully honor those killed in the 1945 bombings while renewing a commitment to a world free from nuclear weapons.

The event is hosted by the Sisters of Saint Francis in Clinton, Iowa, and the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. It is co-sponsored by the Sisters of Providence and other religious Congregations.
