Saint Mother Theodore Guerin’s life reminds us that even in times of uncertainty and hardship, faith, courage and trust in Providence can guide us forward.

Join us October 11, 2026, at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana as we celebrate the life and legacy (and 20 years of sainthood!) of our foundress Saint Mother Theodore Guerin.

This time of celebration will include:

• A pilgrimage through the sacred grounds of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, where Mother Theodore lived her mission and where generations of Sisters of Providence have continued her legacy of love and service at 9:30 a.m.
• A special Eucharistic Liturgy celebrated in Saint Mother Theodore’s honor in the historic Church of the Immaculate Conception at 11 a.m.
• A celebratory picnic lunch at noon.

All are welcome to come celebrate this special day with us!

Join us as we prayerfully enter into places and stories that shaped Mother Theodore’s life. Consider how our God of Providence continues to invite each of us to bring hope, compassion and healing into our world.

Come as you are and bring someone with you. Whether you come seeking reflection, connection, renewal or a deeper sense of hope, this day offers an opportunity to journey together and discover the ways Providence is still at work in our lives.

Most spaces are accessible and there will be limited transportation to shuttle people who may need extra assistance.
