Past the “need-to’s” to the stable, to the crib, to our hearts
The true meaning of Christmas is the birth of the Christ child. Jesus being born in a simple stable can get lost in all of the “need to’s”.

Strength from being ordinary this Foundation Day
What matters is what is in our hearts and souls. It’s the warmth, respect and love that we have for others — that same love and respect Saint Mother Theodore modeled to all with whom she came in contact. It was her ordinary, her natural response that came from deep within her heart. It was a response borne of deep prayer and of complete trust in her Provident God.

Holy Spirit in the wind and in the quiet
May this season of Pentecost bring a sense of peace and trust to you and your families. May this season of Pentecost help us lean with all our weight on Providence.

Video blog: What is a Providence Associate?
"It's a rewarding walk; a deeper inner journey."

From darkness to the promise of new life in Easter
That’s the beauty of this Easter story. It is lived and experienced every day of our lives. Jesus Christ modeled to the world: Joy will be had. Suffering will be experienced. Sickness will be felt. The love of family and friends will be honored and reverenced during our journey on this earth. But on the third day… we will experience our Resurrection — Alleluia — with the one who showed us the way!

Where is the stable?
Embrace this sacred season with hopefulness, with love. Find a way to work around conflict within your family and the world. Never forget that you are carrying the Christ within yourself. Your heart is the stable of life.

In the moment
This holiday season let’s look around us. Let’s open our hearts and look deeply into our world, into its heartbreak. Let’s look into the eyes of our loved ones and let them know we love them.

Saint Mother Theodore Guerin Feast Day reflection
175 years ago, our beginning was humble. We let go of what we knew and we embraced what was to come. 175 years later we are being asked to do the same. Trust me — as we continue to walk into this new era, as Sisters of Providence, Providence Associates, supporters and friends, we will grow into this era. Be patient. Be prayerful.

The Easter season of our everyday lives
This season is our everyday lives. It is our every breath. It is not just the letting go of someone we love, but the letting go of what we know.
We rise with the Christ who showed us the way. We are Easter people. We are hope. We are love.

The Christmas story: new and old
God so loved the world that he gave us his only Son, Jesus Christ. This very Jesus Christ, the Holy One, is within you! Embrace this gift of the sacred. Share it with your family and friends. Open your eyes to see the Christ in those who have hurt you. Share the light of goodness with others who long to be loved.
