Visit the Woods

We have a natural desire to share things that move and delight us. In this age of technology we see it all the time. An inspirational video goes viral. A funny email is forwarded. A touching photo is downloaded.

It’s this same desire that drives the Sisters of Providence to invite you to visit their home at Saint Mary-of-the Woods.

This place, which is literally the home of the sisters, is too wonderful to keep to ourselves. It is so remarkable that Saint Mary-of-the-Woods is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. If you have never had the opportunity to enter the gates and drive down the avenue to see this amazing place, add it to your bucket list. We promise you will not be disappointed.

For those who have been here before, we encourage you to return and discover some of the areas you may have overlooked. There is incredible architecture, breathtaking chapels, and abundant nature that will surely inspire and refresh your soul. Schedule a guided tour for your group.
