Join us and others for this upcoming one-hour virtual workshop!

The Women of Providence in Collaboration recently announced that the Providence Justice Collective has scheduled a one-hour virtual interactive workshop, Doctrine of Domination, which is intended to unpack the Doctrine of Discovery, which was and continues to this day to be foundational for legal and cultural racism.

The Doctrine of Discovery gave the church’s blessing to settler-colonialism that wreaked havoc on existing (non-European) communities in the Caribbean and North America.

There are three opportunities to attend the workshop, including:

  • March 19 – 11 a.m., Eastern Standard Time,
  • April 4 – 2 p.m., Eastern Standard Time (French and Spanish translation will be available on this date only), and
  • May 11 – 7 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
