Nine days of prayer with Saint Mother Theodore Guerin

This year more than ever, we all could use extra help and support to get through the many challenges we face in our personal lives, community and the world. We invite you to pray with the Sisters of Providence and Saint Mother Theodore Guerin for nine consecutive days in this novena prayer. Bring your own needs to God with prayer support from Saint Mother Theodore.

During her life, Saint Mother Theodore showed attentiveness and affection for her sisters, neighbors and friends in the United States and in France. Relying on that attentiveness and affection, we now ask her to intercede and pray for us.

You can pray this novena anytime, but by beginning on Sept. 24 it will naturally conclude on the day before the celebration of her feast day on Oct. 3.

The novena is composed by Mary Ellen Gremelspacher, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College class of 1962.

Novena to Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, Day 1

Anne Therese Guerin, Saint Mother Theodore, I call upon you to help me through my present situation. You know how dependent I am on God’s Providence to fill my need.

Out of love and respect for your holiness, as well as my admiration for your strength of character, I ask for your assistance now. You were able to withstand so many difficult situations, yet you relied on God’s endless Providence to meet the needs of you and your community.

Please implore Providence, on my behalf, to remember my needs.
