The story of YOU …
In early 1960, the Sisters of Providence Vocations Office used the pamphlet, The Story of You …, to encourage young women to discern religious life, in particular, religious life with the Sisters of Providence. The pamphlet was addressed to “YOU — Miss Average American Girl.”
On the cover is Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College sophomore Marilyn Marschall. The portrait appeared in the 1955 Les Bois, the college yearbook. Marilyn, who is now known as Marilyn Antonik, entered the Congregation in 1955 and received the religious name Sister Peter.
Although Marilyn left the Congregation in 1969, she still breaks boundaries and creates hope for others. Marilyn was featured as a partner in our mission in the summer 2008 issue of HOPE (pages 6 and 7).
