Biography
Sister Rosemary, formerly Sister Rose Clare, is a native of Bloomington, Illinois. Currently, she ministers in health care and in residential services at the Woods. Prior to that, she ministered in health care in the Downers Grove, Illinois, area, and before that, as a volunteer at St. Thomas Hospice in Hinsdale, Illinois. where she had been since 2010.
Sister Rosemary entered the Congregation in 1951, professing first vows in 1953 and final vows in 1958.
She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in education and earned a master’s degree in education from Indiana State University. She also has a master’s degree in counseling psychology from George Williams in Williams Bay, Wisconsin.
Of her ministries, Sister Rosemary taught at Sacred Heart in Evansville, Indiana, from 1965-1972. In addition, from 1966-1972, she also ministered as the school’s principal.
Sister Rosemary also ministered as a pastoral associate at St. Joseph Parish in Downers Grove, Illinois, from 1984-2008.
