Biography

Sister Rosemary, formerly Sister Norbert Ann, was born on Aug. 20, 1928. She died on July 3, 2011. She was 82 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 62 years.

Sister Rosemary entered the Congregation on Jan. 9, 1946. She professed first and final vows on Aug. 15, 1948 and 1953, respectively.

Her first ministry in education took place in 1948 at St. Angela, Chicago. She taught at other schools in Chicago as well as schools in California and Indiana. She became director of Simeon House in Terre Haute, Ind., in 1985, and in 1990, she ministered to the sick and elderly through Catholic Charities and St. Patrick’s Church, both in Terre Haute.

Known as a perfectionist, Sister Rosemary enjoyed working three-dimensional jigsaw puzzles.
