Biography
Sister Rosemary, formerly Sister David Patrice, was born Rosemary Louise Eggermann on July 29, 1928. She died on April 16, 2008. She was 79 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 61 years.
Sister Rosemary entered the Congregation on Feb. 2, 1947. She professed first and final vows on Aug. 15, 1949 and 1954, respectively.
Sister Rosemary began her teaching ministry in 1949 at St. Ann, Washington, D.C. She taught for more than 20 years at schools in Indiana, Illinois and California. In 1971, she ministered in the book store at Mother Theodore Guerin High School, River Grove, Ill. In 1983, she shifted gears and began working on a certificate in addictions counseling, and in 1986, she received graduated and passed Illinois state boards. Following that, Sister Rosemary ministered as a course manager/editorial staff member of the Cook County Graduate School of Medicine, Chicago. She also served as secretary at St. Luke Religious Education Office, River Forest, Ill. She returned to the Woods in 2005.
Sister Rosemary was said to be fiercely loyal to family and friends.
