Biography
Sister Rose Angele was born Monica Elizabeth Spalding on Jan. 21, 1913. She died on Jan. 8, 2006. She was 92 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 72 years.
Sister Rose Angele entered the Congregation on Dec. 29, 1933. She professed first vows on Jan. 23, 1936, and final vows on Aug. 15, 1941.
Her education ministry of almost 50 years began in 1936 at St. Angela, Chicago. She was either a teacher, principal or librarian at other schools in Illinois, as well as schools in Indiana, Washington, D.C., She retired home to the Woods in 1997.
She was the cousin of Sister Mary Charles Spalding (RIP).
