Biography
Sister Rita Ann was born on Sept. 25, 1926. She died on June 12, 2010. She was 83 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 63 years.
Sister Rita Ann entered the Congregation on July 21, 1946. She professed first and final vows on Jan. 23, 1949 and 1954, respectively.
Sister Rita Ann began her teaching ministry in 1949 at St. Ann, Washington, D.C. She taught at other schools in Indiana as well. In 1970, Sister Rita Ann began a ministry of more than 30 years at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and the Motherhouse at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. She was also the first director of Providence Spirituality & Conference Center.
During her tenure at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, she ministered as the chairperson of the Art Department.
