Biography
Sister Norene, formerly Sister Charlotte Ann, was born Norene Frances on Jan. 12, 1932. She died on July 22, 2012. She was 80 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 62 years.
Sister Norene entered the Congregation on July 22, 1950.
Sister Norene began her teaching ministry in 1953 at St. Patrick, Indianapolis. She spent three years as teacher and principal at Corpus Christi, Oklahoma City, Okla., and also ministered as a teacher in schools in Illinois. In 1982, she began a ministry at Providence-St. Mel, Chicago, before coming to Guerin College Preparatory High School in 1994.
Sister Norene was a big fan of the Chicago Bears and was well known for her cooking skills.
