Biography
Sister Maureen Therese was born Mary Brennan on Aug. 11, 1909. She died on Jan. 22, 2005. She was 95 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 76 years.
Sister Maureen Therese entered the Congregation on Aug. 23, 1928. She professed first vows on Feb. 23, 1931, and final vows on Jan. 23, 1937.
Sister Maureen Therese began her teaching ministry in 1931. She taught at schools in Washington, D.C., Massachusetts, Florida, Illinois and Indiana. From 1949 to 1970, she served in administration and taught in Terre Haute, the Juniorate, Ladywood and Central Catholic High School. She also served in pastoral ministry. Sister Maureen Therese returned to the Woods in 1999.
Fond of traveling, Sister Maureen Therese also was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and working crossword puzzles.
