Biography
Sister Mary Lee, formerly Sister Irma, was a native of Fort Wayne, Ind. Her final ministry was in prayer at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Sister Mary Lee entered the Congregation in 1951, professing first vows in 1954 and final vows in 1959.
She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in English. She also has a master’s degree in English from Indiana University and a master’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Dayton.
Of her ministries, Sister Mary Lee taught at Cathedral in Fort Wayne from 1962-1966 and also taught at Ladywood-St. Agnes in Indianapolis from 1970-1973. She also ministered as the Director of Religious Education at St. John the Baptist Parish in Newburgh, Ind., from 1976-1978, and served as a pastoral associate and the Director of Lay Ministry at St. Mary’s Parish from 1991-1993.
Sister Mary Lee returned to the Woods in 1998.
