Biography
Sister Mary Carina was born Catherine Marie Connors on March 2, 1907. She died on Nov. 25, 2006. She was 99 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 84 years.
Sister Mary Carina entered the Congregation on June 7, 1922. She professed first and final vows on Aug. 15, 1925 and 1930, respectively.
Sister Mary Carina began ministering in education in 1924 in Chicago. She taught at other schools in Illinois, as well as ministering in schools in Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland and Washington, D.C. She also ministered as regional councilor of the Congregation’s Chicago Region. In 1983, she returned to the Woods and ministered as a volunteer in a variety of capacities.
