Biography
Sister Martha Ann was born in Muncie, Indiana, and grew up in New Castle, Indiana. Her final ministry was in residential services at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Sister Martha Ann entered the Congregation in 1953, professing first vows in 1955 and final vows in 1960.
She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in education and has a master’s degree in elementary education from Indiana State University.
Of her ministries, Sister Martha taught at St. Mary Carmelite in Joliet, Illinois, from 1959-1966, and also taught at Flaget Elementary in Vincennes, Indiana, from 1977-1987.
She returned to the Woods in 1987 to minister as the Congregation’s Director of Transportation, a position she maintained until 2001.
